A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Waterloo! Café 22 has quickly become one of my favorite spots for both relaxing and working. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and welcoming — perfect whether you’re meeting a friend or diving into a book with a latte. Their espresso is rich and smooth, and the food is made with care. I tried their sandwiches and a dessert, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. What really stood out to me was the service — warm, attentive, and genuine. This review is primarily for the service. The owner is so sweet, reminds me of an auntie. She genuinely wants her customers to have a good experience. Such genuine service is so hard to find these days. The space is comfortable and a great place to hangout—no wobbly hard chairs. She truly cares about her customers comfort and enjoyment.

Cafe 22 is my favourite place to go for coffee, a light lunch and/or dessert in the Waterloo Region. The ambiance is reminiscent of a European café - relaxed and cozy. The coffee is rich, the sandwiches are delicious and the desserts are decadent. Daniella the owner and her staff are welcoming, attentive and efficient. I am so happy to have this little gem in my area and look forward to every visit.

this is a great place to hangout with friends or just study by yourself. nothing ever disappoints me regarding the food - my favourite is probably all of the desserts they taste amazing! The environment is very cozy and it's right across the Waterloo Square, which is so cool to watch from there!

Overall amazing experience! My husband and I look for new cafés to try each Saturday and this spot is definitely worth repeating!! Phenomenal service and food. Cannot speak highly enough over our experience today!

I love hanging out here! The drink was so good and the food never disappoints. Their desserts are awesome—and I really appreciate how many gluten-free options they have. The vibe inside is super cute and cozy, definitely gives aesthetic goals. Can’t wait to come back and bring my friends along!
